GEM & PAYEL

Gem and Payel wanted to do something different to celebrate their relationship … so they contacted me ;)

The day started with Payel getting her hair and makeup done while Gem & I went to go grab some coffee and have a chat. Getting to know each other better helps you feel more comfortable for your shoot - you get to see I am just a regular-human-being(TM) and also love birds (I’m in my 30’s aka my bird era).

When we got back from coffee, Payel was ready to go - so while Gem got her makeup and hair done, Payel and I got some individual shots of her. We coordinated outfits so that the couples poses would have the colours complimenting each other, and the individual outfit meant they could wear whatever colour or style they wanted - Payel went with this hot pink, and Gem a beautiful deep purple.

After approx 30 mins of shooting, we sat and yarned about birds and music and travelling while Gem was getting her makeup finished. It was her turn next with Payel on the sidelines, with some encouraging words.

A couples shoot with Poledoir is one that is slow, intentional, loving, intimate but not erotic - though I guarantee my clients have certainly felt erotic together! And honestly, most importantly for me, is safe and fun. You will never feel pressured to do anything or go further than you wish to go. And laughing and talking with your partner helps you relax into the space (and gives some beautiful and fun photos showcasing the nature of your relationship).

The gasps when the photos were revealed just a few hours later always reaffirm for me why I do this. I do this to have you see that side of you that you rarely allow yourself to see.
