Hey, I'm Katie, and that’s me, my face right there. And see below - right down the bottom, with the mountain and the sun? That’s me too. In fact, you’ll see me scattered around this site. Because to truly be able to be the boudoir photographer for you, in one of the most intimate and vulnerable things you can do for yourself, I need to get in front of the lens too. And yup, it was scary. But I came out with a better understanding of the range of emotions one goes through when doing a boudoir shoot. And that's really important. To be able to have this shoot be a huge success for you, we need to relate and understand each other. And you’re in good hands - I’ve been doing this for over a decade now.

My boudoir studio is a space where everyone can feel welcome, comfortable, and celebrated for who they are. As your photographer, I'm here to be your bff, capturing your strength and fierceness in all its glory. Let's celebrate your uniqueness and embrace your beauty, just as you are.

Prepping for a Boudoir Photoshoot

For some people, a lot might go into preparing for their boudoir shoot. And for others, not a lot. Like your shoot with Katie at Poledoir, it should be a very personal and individual choice. I’m here to guide you along the way.

Whether you're marking a milestone, surprising a loved one, or just doing it ‘just because’, a boudoir shoot with Poledoir allows you to express yourself in a luxurious, private, safe, fun, and intimate setting. FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions

  • Our studio is a private apartment in Brunswick West

  • It’s just me (Katie aka Poledoir), Tracey for hair and makeup, and you!

  • Absolutely. While I strive to make everyone feel as comfortable as possible during their shoot, I understand if you need a little extra support. However if your support person is being in the way, or not being supportive, I will ask them to leave.

  • Babes, you get a same day reveal! You get to see your photos and pick them - ON THE SAME DAY! And after that, the finals will be with you within two weeks. During any busy seasons or life events, it may be longer, but I will let you know.

  • You can find everything included in a shoot on my my pricing and packages page here

    Packages start at $1400

  • A $300 retainer is needed to book your shoot date and the balance of the session fee is due the day before your shoot. If you have chosen your package already, that will also be due then.
    If you choose your package at your shoot, we can discuss payment then, including plans to suit us both, I’m very flexible.

    Photos will be delivered once all payment is cleared.

  • Babe - that’s what I am HERE FOR!!! I am showing you what to do, where to look, what to do with your T-Rex hands. Don’t worry, I got you.

  • I have over 100 items of all shapes, colours and sizes. I got you. We have a meet and greet a few weeks before the shoot to make sure we have outfits selected for you and have time to fill any gaps if needed.

  • I do photograph small weddings, elopements and engagements. If this is something you’re interested in - or even something else - get in touch!

  • That is 100% up to you and all fine with me! This is a private and intimate experience. Your comfort is my priority. Everyone you see on this website, on my socials, has given permission for their pictures to to shared.

    For some, they are okay with only a select few. For others, it’s the whole gallery. For others, it’s none. It’s your decision and yours only.

  • I do - I have done a few in my time but most have wanted them kept private but you can see one gallery here

    My policy is no body fluids.

    And my mantra is empowerment of women. So if that doesn’t fit what you are looking for, then I am probably not the photographer for you.

    Couples shoots cost $400 extra on the session fee, due to extra time, makeup, outfits etc.
