My Unique Approach & Style
Reasons why my boudoir shoots are different and why working with me will be the best decision you’ll make all year
1. Laughs - we’re just having a fun time
It’s not a serious thing. The photos may look serious sometimes but I guarantee you we are having a fun, goofy time, so you can feel more at ease. Everyone tells me they feel so comfortable with me pretty much straight away.
2. Same day reveal
I know the feeling of waiting WEEKS to see your photos; whether it was wedding photos, a portrait session or maybe a cosplay. You start to doubt yourself and it’s an anxious wait. Not with me! You get to see your pics, with an edit, ON THE SAME DAY. You be riding that high, you’re feeling hot af - let’s keep that feeling going!
3. Same day prints
I have a beautiful quality printer at the studio and every booking, no matter what package, gets an A4 print of their choice to take home. Plus I can do other prints for you while you’re there! The Pink Parrot & Pure Aura package both come with extra prints, or you can buy them separately. Get that framed and put up straight away so you can always remind yourself of your badassery.
4. Portraits you can show to your nana
I like to include more portrait styles into your shoot - so you can have a HOT pic you can show your grandma ;) Or maybe your grandma is hella supportive and wants to see the spicier pics - we’ll you’ll definitely have them too.
5. Meet and Greet
Noone likes an awkward first date, especially on the day where you are about to be really vulnerable. So let’s have that first date a few weeks before! And it won’t be awkward because you will quickly see that I walk into walls and just by being my unfiltered (what’s a filter???) self, make the whole thing fun and relaxed.
6. Not a man
*checks boobs. checks nether-region* yup. Not a man. Look, not all male-boudoir photographers are predatory. But a lot are. So if you want to shoot with a man, DO YOUR RESEARCH on reviews, model groups on facebook etc. I want you to be safe. I have known too many women taken advantage of or made to feel uncomfortable. This is a shoot for YOU, NOT me. I will never make you do anything you are uncomfortable with and I am always checking in on you and asking consent even to move some hair out of your face.

7. All of the lingerie and accessories
I have a huge collection of lingerie. From size 6ish - 22ish. A lot of the outfits can be sized up or down too. Plus, we do a try on weeks before, so that there’s time to fill any gaps. Doing a lingerie fit out on the day of your shoot will have you flustered and possibly sweaty (you try on a lot) so we do this weeks before, so you can relax in the lead up.
8. Hair and makeup included
Not every boudoir studio includes this in it’s prices. Sometimes it’s an optional add on. Sometimes it’s not there at all. Tracey, our hair and makeup artist, is an expert in this and we want you to feel PAMPERED during this occasion. Rushing to get your hair and make up done separately on the day of your shoot? Stressful. Let me take care of that for you.
9. Expert posing
Don’t worry, I will tell you where to put your T-Rex hands.
I recently found out that not all boudoir / portrait photographers show you how to pose. I can only imagine for someone who isn’t a professional model would feel in that situation.
I am a pole dancer, so I know what lines in your body look good and I will always be on you to point your feet and toes!
10. Editing Style
My style, while more common (at least on the photographers I follow) in Canada and America, is not that common in Melbourne. If you are after a different, dark, moody and sensual shoot, look no further friends!
11. Coming from out of town?
My studio has a double bed, a shower, a kitchen. You can stay overnight if you are coming from out of town. Take the stress out of finding accomodating near by.

and that’s me, my face right there, and there with an owl (I really like birds, okay?) and me with my boys Jetty and Charlie. Oh and there I am topless in the bush. Because to truly be able to be the photographer for you, in one of the most intimate and vulnerable things you can do for yourself, I need to get in front of the lens too.
I have never fit into societies “normal” look, so I. GET. IT.
And I have felt like everyone else when I ask them how they are feeling on their shoot day.
Nervous, but excited.
But I came out with a better understanding of the range of emotions one goes through when doing a boudoir shoot. And that's really important. To be able to have this shoot be a huge success for you, we need to relate and understand each other, and you’re in good hands - I’ve been doing this for over a decade now.
Why do I do this?
Well … wouldn’t you want to facilitate this journey for women? I feel so strongly about helping women see themselves and value themselves for who they are. A fucking piece of ART for THEIR gaze. Even if the shoot is a gift for your cis-male partner, you will come out of this shoot feeling liberated about yourself. Having left some beliefs about yourself at the door.
I take pride not only in the look of my studio but in its vibe too. It's a space where everyone can feel welcome, comfortable, and celebrated for who they are. As your photographer, I'm here to be your hype woman, capturing your strength and fierceness in all its glory.
I didn’t think I was the type to enjoy a boudoir shoot, but Katie changed my mind and perception of the whole experience. We were in fits of laughter the whole time as she guided me on how to pose (which is a huge ask given how awkward I am!) and before I knew it she’d created art where there was previously apprehension. The Experience

It's a big deal to reach out and challenge what you've been told about yourself. Now is the perfect time, and I'm excited to join you on this journey. Whether it's for a wedding, birthday, bucket list item, or just celebrating, I'm here for you. We’ll have a video call to talk more about what to expect, confirm our shoot date, and plan a meet-up. Let's ensure we're all comfortable and eager for our session.
We have an initial inquiry call - you have seen my site, you’ve seen this pricing guide and you’re ready to book a date. We’ll set up a call to chat through any questions or concerns or even just excitements you may have. I also want to hear your wants and vision for the shoot. If you don’t have any specific things you want from the shoot, don’t worry - you don’t need one! You may prefer to take the lead or have me guide you; either way, we'll tailor our approach to suit your style. I am an expert and will get you the best, hottest images you can have.
We then have a meet and greet. During this, at the studio in Brunswick - Melbourne, Victoria, we'll connect and discuss your vision for the shoot. I'll explain more what to expect on the day, address any new questions or concerns you may have. Then comes the exciting part: trying on outfits to find the perfect look for your shoot. Feel free to bring your own attire if you have something special in mind! Doing this a few weeks before allows you to relax more on the day of your shoot - we’ve met, you’ve seen the studio and have your lingerie already sorted. Easy!
Today’s the day! After being greeted with a drink of your choice, you will settle in and get professional hair and makeup done. It doesn’t have to be full glam, whatever you’re comfortable with. I’ve had some people get their hair and makeup done but super natural looking.
After you have got your hair and makeup done, we have a little stretch to limber up so you can get the best range and not be sore later. I do it with you (it’s probably the only time of the week I stretch!) and then we get started! Shoot time is around 90 minutes with 3-4 outfit changes. And then…
… we do a same day reveal! That’s right, you get to see your pics and choose them - on the same day! Let’s ride that high and see you in all your glory.
Once you’ve chosen your final pics, I get into the refinement editing and they will be with you in 2-4 weeks! But you get to walk away with a polaroid style print AND an A4 print of your choice.
Waiting to be the ‘perfect size’? Waiting for your confidence to grow? Just don’t feel ‘ready’?
I can tell you after shooting with hundreds of women (no joke, 2023 alone I had the privilege of working with 136 people!), barely anyone is fully ‘ready’. They still have nerves, they still feel like they could continue to wait.
But as I say to many, reaching out is the hardest part! That’s the part where you are most vulnerable, you’ve decided to step outside your comfort zone. And so many who see me think they are the exception for this, when it’s absolutely the opposite - this is outside of most people’s comfort zones! Even people who have done many shoots with many people over the years, still feel a bit nervous.
The first question I ask you when you step in the studio is “how are you feeling” and the answer is ALWAYS “nervous! but excited!”

Day 30: Shoot day!
8am: have a good breakfast and lots of water
10am: arrive at studio and hair and makeup gets underway
12pm: stretch and breathwork and then we start shooting
1 - 2.30pm: finish up, go get something to eat while I do an edit
2.30 - 4pm: have a drink and sit down for your reveal!
4 - 5pm: your finals are chosen, you have any printed products and you head home, a more confident, empowered person!
1 - 4 weeks later and you have all your digital photos!
